Description:

Patients: This Phase II trial, involved 45 patients with metastatic colorectal cancer. Most patients (62%) had only one metastatic site.

Treatment: Treatment consisted of the bolus administration of there chemotherapy drugs – Fluorouracil (adrucil), Leucovorin, and Oxaliplatin (eloxatin).

Toxicity: Toxicities included grade 3 or 4 diarrhea and neutropenia. Four patients were withdrawn from the study because of toxicity that was probably related to treatment. Other toxicities included: thrombocytopenia, anemia, infection, nausea, vomiting, mucositis, cutaneous, alopecia, and neurologic toxicity.

Results: Median survival was 14 months.
