Description:

Patients: This Phase II study involved 180 patients with high grade glioma. The patient population consisted of 118 patients with glioblastoma multiforme, 55 with anaplastic astrocytoma foci, 2 with oligodendromas, and 5 undetermined (“unconfirmed pathological characteristics”). All patients had received prior surgery and radiation therapy, with or without chemotherapy.

Treatment: Treatment consisted of radio-labeled MAb 425 (radioiodinated monoclonal antibody).

Toxicity: No acute or chronic toxicities noted except for hypothyroidism in one glioblastoma patient.

Results: For patients with glioblastoma multiforme, the overall median survival was 13.4 months.
