Description:

Patients:
This study involved 45 women with ovarian cancer who had previously received treatment. The median age was 59 years.

Treatment:
Patients were treated with the chemotherapy agent carboplatin and the biologic therapy agent celecoxib (also known as Celebrex), which is an anti-inflammatory medicine.

Toxicity:
The maximum toxicity level reported was grade 4, including neutropenia and vomiting. Grade 3 diarrhea and fatigue were also reported.

Results:
The reported median overall survival and progression-free survival were 13 and 5 months, respectively.
