Description:

Patients:
This phase 2 study involved 34 metastatic colorectal cancer patients who had metastases to the liver. The median patient age was 58 years and 64.7% were male.

Treatment:
Patients were treated with the chemotherapy regimen called FOLFIRINOX, which includes oxaliplatin, irinotecan, leucovorin, and fluorouracil.

Toxicities:
The most severe toxicities were of grade 4 and included neutropenia and vomiting. Grade 3 diarrhea, fatigue, and abdominal cramping were also reported.

Results:
The median overall survival was 36 months.
