Description:

Patients: This Phase I study involved 14 patients with metastatic colorectal cancer.

Treatment: The treatment consisted of two chemotherapy drugs – irinotecan (camptosar) and oxaliplatin (eloxatin).

Toxicity: Toxicities included neutropenia (grade 3-4), nausea/vomiting (grade 1-3), diarrhea (grade 1-3), and neurologic toxicity (grade 1-2).

Results: All patients were eventually withdrawn from the study: 9 because of disease progression, 4 because of toxicity, 1 because of dose reductions. Median overall survival was not discussed.
