Description:

Patients: This Phase I study involved 21 women with advanced ovarian cancer. The median age was 51.

Treatment: The treatment consisted of three chemotherapeutic drugs: topotecan, carboplatin, and paclitaxel.

Toxicity: Grade 1-4 toxicities included: thrombocytopenia, leukopenia, and anemia. Grade 1-3 toxicities included: nausea, fatigue, vomiting, and diarrhea.

Results: Overall survival was not reported, but fifteen patients had a median progression-free survival of 27 months.
