Description:

Patients: This phase Ib study involved 48 women with epithelial ovarian, fallopian tube, or primary peritoneal cancer. They ranged in age from 32.4 to 68.7 years of age.

Treatment: Patients were treated with the chemotherapy drugs docetaxel and carboplatin, and the biological therapy erlotinib.

Toxicities: The most common grade 3 and grade 4 toxicities were vomiting, dehydration, rash, fatigue, oesophagitis, and neutropenia.

Results: The median overall survival was 37 months.
